Benton County Electric System Rolls Out MyUsage Prepay

Dallas, Texas – December 8, 2014 – Benton County Electric System (BCES) of Camden, Tennessee is preparing to launch its prepay program powered by MyUsage in January 2015. BCES is one of more than 90 utilities that have selected Exceleron’s MyUsage to offer prepay accounts for utility services.

Consumers with prepay accounts have access to detailed information about their energy consumption and can choose the amount and frequency of payments, obtaining greater control over their energy consumption and budgeting practices. Customers who opt into the prepay program will be able to access their account balance and usage history via the MyUsage smartphone application, MyUsage web portal, telephone, email, and text messaging. They can add funds to their prepay account through a variety of convenient payment options.

“We are very pleased to invite BCES into the Exceleron family, and we look forward to working with them to ensure a smooth rollout and quick adoption of prepay accounts,” said Jeff Severs, COO of Exceleron. He notes that BCES is the 13th utility service provider in Tennessee to select MyUsage.

BCES plans to make prepay accounts available to all customers beginning next month.
